Thermal drone project

Marakele

MCCF, with a matching contribution from the Kleinwort Foundation, has co-financed two thermal drones for Marakele National Park – vital tools in the fight against poaching. These drones provide real-time surveillance, allowing rangers to detect poachers and monitor wildlife in remote areas, greatly enhancing anti-poaching efforts while reducing risk.

Registration of Rhinos in Marakele National Park

The objective of the registration project is to notch and individually register every white and black rhinoceros on the Marakele National Park over a multi-year period, enabling enhanced anti-poaching efforts, accurate identification and population management.
